With a history spanning over 30 years, EVBB has evolved into a key player in the European discourse surrounding Vocational Education and Training. The organisation is widely recognised as the reference network, viewed as a leading partner by relevant actors in Europe, particularly in the field of Lifelong Learning and the management of professional competencies. Over the years, EVBB has cultivated strong connections with European Commission, notably with DG-EMPL (Employment Social Affairs and Inclusion), the Unit for VET, Apprenticeships and Adult Learning, DG-EAC (DG for Education and Culture), the EESC (the European Economic Social Committee), and other European institutions and agencies.
Our organisation regularly receives invitations to participate, contribute, and consult during pivotal events and working groups in the realm of vocational training, labour market policies and the empowering role of education. EVBB is actively engaged in the EU policy-making process as a representative of the civil society, addressing formal, non-formal vocational education as well as training, collaborating with European Union Institutions as well as numerous international and national NGOs. Our commitment is evident through our participation in activities and initiatives launched by European institutions and other stakeholders active in this field.

In addition to engaging with policymakers, EVBB strives to attend meetings, seminars, and conferences, all of which provide opportunities to present EVBB’s viewpoints. We are consistently invited to conferences, which we see as valuable occasions to share our perspectives. All outcomes and reports resulting from our policy engagement are made available to everyone but only our Members participate exclusively in the definition of the position of the EVBB.
Within the dynamic realm of Vocational Education and Training (VET), the EVBB Almanac invites scholars and researchers to contribute original research articles, urging exploration into the multifaceted dimensions of VET. With an unwavering commitment to academic excellence, our pursuit is underscored by meticulous criteria emphasizing VET focus, originality, research quality, contribution to VET knowledge, clarity, and ethical considerations. We invite submissions that not only meet but exceed these benchmarks, encouraging authors to adopt an interdisciplinary approach and offer an international perspective. The Almanac seeks to promote collaboration, partnerships, inclusivity, diversity, and equity in VET. A distinguished committee, comprising three EVBB members and two external experts, will rigorously evaluate each submission, selecting top articles for electronic publication.
The resulting Almanac will stand as a source of knowledge, disseminated widely to VET providers, networks, and EU stakeholders through EVBB’s website and social media platforms, anticipating high-quality contributions that will undoubtedly shape and advance the landscape of Vocational Education and Training.
