Theodor Grassos

SECRETARY-GENERAL

Theodor Grassos is Secretary-General of the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training. He has extensive experience both at the EU level and in Greece, covering a period of over 20 years. His national experience includes reorganising a number of public bodies, while he has been responsible for ex-ante and ongoing evaluation of Human Resources Development Operational Programmes, supporting the design and delivery of restructured and modernised ALMPs in different countries. At the EU level, he has been working in multicultural environments for the past 18 years, for different DG’s and EU Programmes. Fluent in four languages, he has also collaborated with the Structural Reform Support Service (now DG Reform). So far, he has been responsible for over 100 projects of various sizes at the national and EU levels and is currently working with EU institutions and key umbrella organisations in the areas of employment, education and social inclusion. Finally, he is a member of two Working Groups of the European Commission: “Working Group on Vocational Education and Training and the Green Transition” and “Working Group on Adult Learning – Opening Up Opportunities for All”.

Sonia Degroote

PROJECT MANAGER

Sonia Degroote has a double master’s in political science- European studies and Human Rights. She is the EU project manager for EVBB with a long-standing experience in EU project design and management including drafting, implementation, financial and administrative monitoring and evaluation of Erasmus+, AMIF, Interreg, Horizon 2020, AFD (French development agency) & MEAE (French Foreign Ministry) projects and programs. With over 6 years of experience in the field of education, training, integration of disadvantaged groups and mobilities of over 200 participants. Besides, Mrs Degroote has experience as a trainer for females, migrants, refugees and youth entrepreneurs. Her professional interests cover a range of activities such as equal opportunities, inclusion, gender equality, and the fight against discrimination at school, at work and in society. She is also fluent in English, French and Arabic.

Samir Cheriaa

PROJECT MANAGER

Samir Cheriaa is an EU Project manager for EVBB, with years of experience as a communication specialist with a background in business and administration. He has worked in communication and media agencies and  has a  longstanding  experience  as  communication manager in UN-funded projects. He worked in 6 countries (Tunisia, Cambodia, Italy, Ireland, France and Belgium) and he is an Erasmus specialist and aficionado. At EVBB, Mr. Cheriaa has been working in the management, coordination and development sectors of Erasmus+ Key Action 1, 2 and 3 since 2018. He has a vast experience in managing partnerships with associations, Institutions, VET centres, Universities from EU and non-EU/EEA Partner Countries (including Balkan countries). He also possesses a strong background on dissemination activities, having organised multiplier events and info days and having developed dissemination strategies for various projects, while also being responsible for the communication activities of the organisation. Samir Cheriaa is fluent in French, English and Arabic.

Sotiria Tsalamani

PROJECT MANAGER

Sotiria Tsalamani holds a master’s degree in Educational Sciences. Her experience revolves around Project Management in the non-profit and private sectors, where she has been involved in the management of educational projects funded by various donors. She is strongly interested in developing innovative educational material and training for youth and adults in the EU and Africa that aims to foster personal and professional development. Her expertise is based mainly on the broader field of education and lifelong learning, including media and digital literacy, social inclusion of marginalised groups and active citizenship.

Antonio Gennarelli

PROJECT MANAGER

Antonio Gennarelli holds an MSc in Comparative International Relations from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice with honours. Specialised in relations between Europe and Asia, he is currently working as a European Project Manager at EVBB. He has obtained different certifications on EU-funded projects (from IDEC SA, a consulting company with 30 years of experience in EU projects) & SDGs Management and Monitoring (United Nations Institute for Training and Research, LUMSA University). He is a founding member of Mondo Internazionale APS ETS, an Association promoting youth’s talents through Cultural Diplomacy across more than 20 countries worldwide.

Diana Nitu

PROJECT MANAGER

Diana Nitu is the Project Manager at EVBB. She has a Bachelor’s in Global Law and a Master’s in Conflict and Security. Dedicated and results-driven Project Manager with a proven track record in successfully leading Erasmus+ projects. Possessing a comprehensive understanding of project lifecycle management, she specializes in planning, executing, and overseeing initiatives that align with the objectives of the Erasmus + program. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to regulatory compliance, she has consistently ensured the seamless implementation of projects, fostering stakeholder satisfaction and contributing to the advancement of international educational initiatives. 

Alfred Pallarca

PROJECT MANAGER

Alfred Pallarca holds a Master of Arts degree in Spanish and Latin American Literature and is completing his second Master of Arts degree in International Relations, specializing in Global Governance and Social Theory. His academic focus encompasses the examination of colonial legacies, particularly in Latin America and West Africa. Alfred served as a Teaching Associate in the language department at California State University, Long Beach. He also gained teaching experience in Madrid, Spain, working in secondary education. His professional journey includes roles in the NGO sector, beginning with Community Outreach work in California. Presently, he contributes to project management for EU projects at EVBB. His skill set encompasses communication, research, writing, and multimedia design, reflecting his diverse background and interests. He speaks Tagalog, Spanish, and French, and possesses intermediate skills in German.

Horst Dreimann

POLICY ADVISOR

With his longstanding experience of more than 20 years in international project work, Horst Dreimann currently works as policy advisor and networking expert for the EVBB representing the association events organized by its international networking partners (including EU authorities) and counselling in Vocational Education andTraining topics. As former Secretary General of the EVBB, he was responsible for the management of the organization with five staff and interns, networking in the context of policies concerning Vocational Education and Training (VET), advocacy for EVBB and its members with EU authorities such as DG Employments, DG EAC, CEDEFOP, ETF and others, Co-Management of a CEDEFOP initiated working group on migration as well project acquisition, organising annual EVBB conferences and other promotional events.

Andreas Tsalamatas

HEAD OF FINANCE

Andreas holds a BA in Business Administration MSc in International and European Economics studies. He is working as a Financial Manager of EU Funded Projects. Ηe is fluent in Greek (mother tongue) and English. From an early age, he played volleyball in his neighbourhood team. His love for volleyball triggered him to become a coach in his neighbourhood team and impart all his knowledge to young children. As a volunteer in the post-graduate years, he was a member of AISEC and he tried to find free accommodation in hostels and hotels for European youth exchange programs. He wants to inspire young people to get engaged in volunteering for a greener planet. He is a food lover, an expert in Italian cuisine and he wants to taste different cuisines around the world. Also, he is charmed by black Rhum. His favourite colour is blue and the sea view gives him more power to imagine, travel to magic places, and continue being creative.

Daiana Tsitso

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Daiana has been working as a graphic designer for over six years. Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects are some of the editing programmes that she is an expert on. When it comes to her job, she aims for perfection and is satisfied with nothing less. She adores fat cats, nice food and anything that involves creation. She is passionate about every form of art and she loves making new experiences. Her restless spirit led her to take up dancing & drawing lessons. She usually finds herself engaged in reading a new book, enjoying nature or doing research on her work field. She prefers face-to-face communication over computer or mobile screens. If you do not know where to find her, she is probably cleaning her desk or sanitizing her hands. She speaks Greek and English.

Elisabeth Beigl

PROJECT MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT

Elisabeth Beigl is our new Project Management Intern from Germany. Currently, she is
studying International Management and aims to enhance her knowledge of project
management at our organization, EVBB. She is thrilled to explore project implementation
and assist in communication with third parties and stakeholders. Before commencing her
studies, Elisabeth completed a federal Volunteer Year in the social sector, gaining valuable
experience in administrative work. She is excited to contribute to our multinational team and
is fluent in both German and English.

Lilou Lanquetin

PROJECT MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT

Lilou Lanquetin serves as an Intern Project Manager Assistant at EVBB. Holding a Master’s degree in European Law and European Public Affairs, Lilou brings a wealth of knowledge to her role. Her prior experience at a Vocational Training Agency in France has honed her project management skills within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) field.

In her current capacity, Lilou plays a pivotal role in supporting the team by contributing to project completion and communicating EVBB’s activities. Her understanding of European policy and law, coupled with her linguistic proficiency in both English and French, positions her as a valuable asset in comprehending the intricacies of EVBB’s work.

Jakob Rüter

PROJECT MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT

Jakob Rüter works as a new Project Management Assistant at EVBB. He is a certified media designer and is completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology as well as Media and Communication. With his experience in design, journalistic writing and intercultural communication he contributes to the ongoing projects in a multi-faceted way. On top of that he has fluent language skills in German and English and is looking forward to engage in projects involving vocational training to help individuals prepare for a fulfilling career in their field of choice.
