GLOBAL
The GLOBAL project strengthens the internationalization of Chinese universities by establishing dedicated Internationalization Offices. These hubs align institutional governance with European standards to manage global cooperation and mobility. Through a multi-phase approach, the project implements digital learning solutions, a MOOC platform, and peer learning to build staff competencies.
Objectives
• Establishing Internationalization Offices (IOs) in Chinese universities as central hubs for project management and global cooperation.
• Aligning institutional frameworks with European standards to enhance the operational capacity and global competitiveness of partner HEIs.
• Reducing the asymmetry between imported education models and local needs by fostering indigenous internationalization strategies.
• Promoting mutual learning and integration of European values to create inclusive, future-oriented educational environments.
• Strengthening transnational partnerships and mobility initiatives to better prepare students for a global labor market.
Expected Results
• Establishment of Internationalisation Offices in Chinese HEIs as hubs for global partnerships.
• Comprehensive training for staff in project management, R&D collaboration, and digital governance.
• AI-driven learning platforms, MOOCs, and digital monitoring systems for virtual cooperation.
• Structured governance models and institutional reports for sustainable international cooperation.
• Integration of entrepreneurial and green skills into curricula with industry exchange visits.
