MiCRET
The project addresses the labour shortage in the sustainable energy sector by establishing micro-credentials that are recognised across the EU and designed to increase employability. It develops common standards across national borders in alignment with EU frameworks, ensuring transparency, quality, and portability. The credentials place a strong emphasis on digitalisation and the green transition, supporting the advancement of skills needed for a more sustainable and technologically advanced energy sector.
Objectives of the project
The project will create a comprehensive framework for micro-credentials tailored to the sustainable energy sector. Through this framework, it will enhance the competence of the workforce and increase employability by supporting targeted upskilling and reskilling. At the same time, it aligns with the EU’s sustainability objectives and actively contributes to the green transition in the renewable energy sector by promoting high-quality, future-oriented training solutions.
Expected Results
The MiCRET project will strengthen knowledge and evidence on micro-credentials by improving their design, quality, recognition, and portability. It will increase the attractiveness of the renewable energy sector through innovative training approaches and drive systemic improvements within the micro-credential ecosystem. In addition, the project will support policy alignment with EU Guidelines, enhance employability in the renewable energy sector, and develop a European framework aligned with EU instruments.
