PANTOUR
PANTOUR tackles skills gaps in the tourism sector with practical and innovative solutions. It supports workers, jobseekers and companies by developing a skills monitoring system, a Skills Lab, a trainer resource book, regional roundtables, and a 2026–2036 skills strategy. By focusing on reskilling and upskilling after COVID-19, the project provides training providers with new content and teaching methods.
Objectives
• Identify emerging and urgent skills needs in tourism and develop innovative digital, green, and social skills solutions.
• Build on previous NTG results while expanding to new sub-sectors and business models.
• Strengthen lifelong learning through cooperation with VET and higher education providers and establish national and regional skills partnerships.
• Promote active citizenship, equal opportunities, gender equality, diversity, and inclusion through targeted actions in the tourism ecosystem.
Expected Results
• A common methodology and open-data monitor to track digital, green, and social skill needs.
• Flexible training modules and assessment tools designed for life-long learners and students.
• National/regional cooperation networks (NRSG) and user-friendly tools tailored for nano-enterprises and the collaborative economy.
Project Activities
Research and Analysis: Reports on digital, green, and social skills across Europe; Sectoral Skills Intelligence Monitor; new occupational profiles.
Training Development: Updated and modernized training programs for work-based and blended learning formats.
Learning Tools: A Methodology Menu with practical exercises and ICT-based assessment tools; beta version of the Skills Lab interactive platform.
