About National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement
National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) is Legal Entity of Public law (LEPL) within the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. The NCEQE, for the purpose of external quality assurance, carries out authorization of educational institutions and accreditation of educational programs, as well as monitors implementation of authorization and accreditation standards. The NCEQE works on improving the external as well as the internal quality assurance mechanisms, its implementation and creation of relevant recommendations. The NCEQE supports creation and development of educational programs, including vocational educational institutions. The NCEQE conducts recognition of educational documents, verification of authenticity to ensure the compliance of credibility of educational documents and learning outcomes of obtained education with the qualifications recognized by the state.
Achievements
From 2018, NCEQE started the implementation of the revised QA system and subsequent procedures. Being committed to the implementation of ESG 2015, contributing to coherence in HE through the Bologna Process and development of cooperation in HE Quality Assurance (QA), in 2018, the NCEQE applied for full membership to the ENQA and for the registration in the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR). In 2018, NCEQE underwent an ENQA-coordinated review. In April 2019, the Board of ENQA granted the NCEQE full membership for five years and concluded its compliance with the ESG 2015 and further membership criteria.
