About ECECT – European Centre for Emerging Competencies and Technologies
ECECT (European Centre of Emerging Competencies and Technologies) is a NON-profit organization, founded in 2020 and established in Cyprus (European Union) and is focusing on emerging competencies and technologies but at the same time aims to fill the gap that exists between academia and the industry. ECECT pays attention to education, skills, and competencies required for today’s demanding world. It focuses on (Science Technology Engineering Art Mathematics) and offers targeted training to the younger generation at the same time offers targeted training for older individuals. ECECT uses the open-source online education platform (class365.eu) to access a larger audience that otherwise might have difficulties attending training/educational sessions. Another important initiative is the AMBASSADOR’s initiative which acts as contact persons in their respective countries, exchanging experiences, contacts, and valuable information.
Achievements
ECECT recently completed the Sustain4Rural project, successfully training farmers in sustainable agricultural practices. Currently, the organization is actively engaged in several ongoing projects: The Cities Going Green project, under Erasmus+ KA2, aims to increase environmental consciousness in urban areas. BETES project goal is to train individuals who want to be retrained on various technologies and obtain new soft and digital skills. The ReSTELA project is dedicated to providing remote access to multiple STEM labs for teachers and students, particularly benefiting those in remote areas. Simultaneously, the ReSENSE project is geared towards offering vocational education and training on remote sensing technologies to unskilled professionals and newcomers to the job market.
