About Bundesverband der Träger beruflicher Bildung (Bildungsverband) e. V.

The Bundesverband der Träger beruflicher Bildung (Bildungsverband) e. V. / Federal Association of Providers of Vocational Education and Training (Bildungsverband) e. V. is an association of major providers of educational programmes in Germany. Every year, the member companies and associations, with their thousands of employees, support people in improving their professional opportunities with quality-tested education and training. To this end, the Bildungsverband pursues:

  • the formulation of common interests of the providers of vocational education and training
  • the exchange of information and advice, as well as the coordination of members in corporate, educational and socio-political matters
  • the development of labour and collective bargaining regulations by the „Zweckgemeinschaft“ (special-purpose association). The “”Zweckgemeinschaft”” is the employers’ association for the initial and continuing training sector, conducts collective bargaining with the labour unions and concludes the respective current minimum wage agreements. The aim of the „Zweckgemeinschaft“ and also of the Bildungsverband is to conclude an industry collective agreement, which is then recognised under the Collective Agreement Act and declared generally binding.
  • regular dialogue between the members, also independent of current events. Various working groups are formed for this purpose. The topics cover digitalisation, certification (through “”AZAV””), health, integration and vocational language courses and legal topics.

The education association is also a quality association for continuing vocational education and training and has committed itself and its member companies to adhering to quality principles, which are laid down, among other things, in the BQM (education quality management) standard it developed.

In addition to the political representation of interests and the quality association, the education association also carries out its own projects. Since 2022, it has been the initiator of a project on the topic of partial qualifications with the „MY·TQ“ project. The joint initiative of several education providers offers nationwide flexibility through uniformity in partial qualifications. With „MY·TQ“, partial qualifications are offered across all providers and are thus compatible throughout Germany. The advantage of MY·TQ is that the training content of the partial qualification modules are identical for all providers and there is also an uniform module duration, structure and sequence as well as common starting times.
