The EVBB conference in 2014 was held in Strasbourg on 15th and 16th September. It marked a significant milestone as participants from countries outside Europe joined an EVBB conference for the first time, emphasizing the organization’s growing international engagement.
Another notable highlight of the conference was the inaugural presentation of the “THE EUROPE” prize. This prestigious award, established by the Adalbert Kitsche Foundation, aimed to honor outstanding vocational training projects annually. The inaugural prize was awarded to the project “Integration of young people from children’s homes through vocational qualification,” implemented by the German-Romanian Foundation for Vocational Education.
The event welcomed a total of 140 participants from 16 countries, including esteemed guests from China. Dr. Adalbert Kitsche, the President of EVBB, expressed the association’s commitment to the policy of the European Union and its Lisbon resolutions. The conference aimed to provide valuable insights and inspiration not only for educational institutions within EVBB’s network spanning over 30 countries but also for national and European policies.
Strasbourg was chosen as the location for the conference to further reinforce the commitment to European policies and facilitate constructive dialogues on vocational education and training. The conference fostered collaboration and knowledge exchange, promoting the development and implementation of effective vocational education strategies across Europe and beyond.
