About Bundesarbeitskreis Arbeit und Leben e. V.

Arbeit und Leben is an institution for political youth and adult education. It is supported by the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB) and the German Adult Education Association (DVV). Our main areas of work are political and social educational work. The Bundesarbeitskreis Arbeit und Leben is the umbrella organization of the various Arbeit und Leben institutions in the federal states and municipalities. The Bundesarbeitskreis is headquartered in Wuppertal.

Through our educational offerings, we aim to contribute to ensuring that people’s work and lives can develop according to the criteria of social justice, equal opportunity, and solidarity, with the goal of a democratic culture of participation. With educational and counseling services, Arbeit und Leben creates opportunities to impart knowledge to people, foster critical judgment, encourage civic participation, and strengthen democracy.
