VISION
The VISION project aims to modernize vocational training in Angola, Mozambique, and São Tomé by aligning education with evolving market needs. Through a Virtual Incubator Hub and a VET Marketplace, the initiative connects students and school leadership directly with real-world business cases. Ultimately, VISION drives policy reform and empowers a new generation of professionals with the entrepreneurial tools required to thrive globally.
Objectives
The VISION project strengthens VET systems across Sub-Saharan African countries, empowering younger generations to launch successful entrepreneurial careers upon graduation. This is achieved by equipping VET staff with vital business expertise and providing students with digitally-hosted services for idea incubation. The project fosters structural engagement with private sector representatives and local entrepreneurs, bridging the gap between vocational education and the marketplace.
Expected Results
• Closing the skills gap to boost employability
• Modernizing infrastructure and upskilling staff: 6 operational incubation hubs and 80% of VET staff trained in new modules
• Strengthening local ecosystems in Angola, Mozambique, Namibia, and São Tomé with 25% rise in business-education activities
• Enhancing EU-Africa cooperation through 3 new partnership agreements
Project Activities
• Virtual Incubator Hub: Designing and operating a hub to provide mentorship and entrepreneurship support for VET students.
• Up-skilling VET Staff and Students: Delivering tailored training and workshops.
• Work-Based Learning & Entrepreneurship: Connecting students with local businesses to develop skills and launch start-ups.
• Policy Support & Sustainable Partnerships: Strengthening governance and drafting policy recommendations.
• Dissemination & Stakeholder Engagement: Sharing outcomes through media, events, and campaigns.
