About Apro Formazione

Founded in 1958 by Monsignor Giovanni Battista Gianolio, its mission is to promote vocational training in the Piedmont region (Torino, Asti, and Cuneo), with a focus on young people at risk of school dropout and social inclusion. The organization’s guiding principle, “Inclusive Specialization,” emphasizes the importance of developing human capital and skills to maintain economic competitiveness, foster a strong work ethic, and promote social and environmental sustainability. APRO Formazione is a VET provider for both young people and adults, offering training courses in areas such as digitalization, innovation, and local sectors like agri-food, tourism and hospitality, industrial manufacturing and automation (electricians and mechanics), digital communication (graphics, video, photography), personal services (beauty and hairdressing), healthcare, and advanced services (EQF levels 2-5). In addition, APRO provides transversal services through specialized offices that work in an integrated manner, including school-to-work orientation, placement support, employment services, continuing training for adults and young workers, corporate training, and international mobility. The consortium also engages in transnational partnerships within and outside the EU, and promotes cross-border cooperation. APRO Formazione combines a local focus with a global perspective, offering innovative, high-quality services to meet the professional development needs of individuals and businesses. Its internationalization strategy aims to prepare European workers and citizens for the global market. In 2025, APRO was recognized by the ETF as a Centre of Vocational Excellence (mention: Internationalization in VET), consolidating its leadership in vocational training both nationally and internationally.
