In 2006, the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB) hosted its tenth conference, setting new standards for the event. The conference gained distinguished patronage as the President of the Slovak Republic, JUDr. Ivan Gašparovič, lent his support to the occasion. The conference spanned two days, with the first day’s proceedings taking place in the Primatial Palace and the second day’s events being held in the Bratislava Pressburg.
The conference’s preparation and successful execution were made possible through close cooperation with esteemed individuals and institutions, including the Head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic, Ambassador Jan Foltin, the Head of Department from the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Marianna Oravcová, and the German Embassy. This collaborative effort ensured the conference’s remarkable success and provided a platform for fruitful exchange and dialogue.
With an impressive attendance of about 150 participants, including over 40 Slovak educational and local politicians and over 100 international guests, the conference saw the largest gathering in its history. The diverse representation from various backgrounds and regions enriched the discussions, making the event a significant milestone in the advancement of vocational education and training in Europe.
