On April 20th, a momentous occasion took place as six European organizations joined forces online to introduce the groundbreaking Skills Partnership Agreement. This agreement holds the promise of significantly enhancing the training of long-term care workers, aligning perfectly with the EU Care Strategy. The main objective of this collaboration is to upskill and train at least 60% of Long Term Care professionals annually by 2030, paving the way for a brighter and more capable workforce in the field.
The partnership comprises esteemed organizations such as EASPD – European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities, SSE – Social Services Europe, European Ageing Network (EAN), European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB), European Federation of Public Service Unions (EPSU), and Federation of European Social Employers. During the event, Mr. Theodor Grassos, the Secretary General of EVBB, represented the organization and eagerly conveyed how EVBB is ready to contribute its expertise and extensive network to the partnership, aiming to foster a strong and impactful collaboration.
