Milan, Italy | 14–16 April 2025
From 14 to 16 April, EVBB participated in the Kick-Off Meeting and International Conference of the MiCRET Microcredentials for Renewable Energy Technicians project, hosted in Milan by Lombardini22 and LEARNINGDIGITAL.
This three-day event marked the official launch of MiCRET, a pioneering initiative aimed at addressing labour shortages in the renewable energy sector by experimenting with new policy approaches and promoting the use of microcredentials. The event brought together leading experts and institutions from across Europe to explore how demand-driven, flexible training pathways can close real skill gaps and foster a more agile, future-proof vocational education and training (VET) ecosystem.
During the event, EVBB proudly presented insights from the H2Excellence Erasmus+ project, highlighting the importance of Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) in empowering the green and digital workforce of tomorrow , particularly within the hydrogen sector.
MiCRET sets out to align upskilling and reskilling strategies with real market needs, focusing on digital and green competences, capacity building, and increased international recognition of microcredentials. The conference also served as a platform to define clear learning outcomes, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and lay the foundations for a learner-centred MiCRET platform.
EVBB extends its sincere thanks to all distinguished speakers and contributors who enriched the event with their perspectives, including representatives from EACEA, DG EMPL, Cedefop, EQAVET NRP-INAPP, Signify, Banco dell’Energia, AFPA, COMETA, regional governments, and many more.
Together, we are shaping the future of VET , starting with renewable energy, and reaching far beyond.
