About Yyouth
Yyouth is a nonprofit organization based in Oslo, Norway focused on the empowerment of young people. Yyouth’s main goal is to facilitate the professional and personal development of youngsters, promoting civic engagement, diversity and inclusion, international educational exchanges and providing tools aimed to enhance entrepreneurship and innovation.
Yyouth is was founded in 2022 and its founders bring to the table invaluable international expertise creating strategic partnerships between the private, public and nonprofit sectors. Broad network of stakeholders and partners across the Nordics and internationally.
Our target group is formed of youth at risk, young entrepreneurs, young professionals, and youth workers.
We believe in prevention and early intervention, treating young people at risk as a resource and a community asset. We are supporters of the positive youth development model to address the needs of youth who might be at risk. Positive youth development does not focus only on the development of individual strengths but also devotes significant efforts to supporting positive relations between young people and their social-community resources.
Our scope of work includes:
-Mobility of young people
-Facilitate youth entrepreneurship
-Transfer of knowledge
-Addressing the needs of youth at risk:
Promote cross-sectoral cooperation to solve the issues in the youth field.
Primary topics of interest connected to civic engagement and youth participation, prevention of criminality and juvenile delinquency, prevention of radicalization and violent extremism, rule of law and security, diversity and inclusion, inclusion of migrants and minorities into the labour force, gender equality and women empowerment.
Achievements
Youth team key persons involved in this project bring extensive experience in needed expertise in order to implement the project’s objectives and activities. Coming from different international backgrounds and ethnicities, Yyouth founders represent a clear example of diversity, inclusion, empowerment and sorority.
Extensive expertise in project management and making a social impact in the community. Yyouth teams have implemented projects and advanced on Yyouth objectives in more than 10 countries including transatlantic initiatives and international cooperation.
