About State Vocational Educational Institution “Sumy High Vocational School of Construction and Design”

Sumy High Vocational School of Construction and Design offers VET training in the following areas: workers of the construction brunch, the professions of light and food industries, as well as beauty service industry to adopt in the new information educational surroundings. Our institution provides educational service in 13 professions. Today, approximately 450 students are studying at Sumy High Vocational School of Construction and Design. A strategic task for the development of vocational school is to deepen integration into the vocational education training system, which ensures a high quality of professional services under international standards. Sumy High Vocational School is poised to give a big boost to project proposals aimed at sharing experience, developing new research tools and methods, applying new technologies to vocational education training (including remote-learning technologies), fostering multilateral professional exchange. The institution is a member of the scientific and educational alliance “Formation of soft skills of skilled workers”. Our vocational school is currently executing an international project of the Program “Promotion of Energy Efficiency and Implementation of the EU Directive on Energy Efficiency in Ukraine”, which is implemented in Ukraine by GIZ on behalf of the Governments of Germany and Switzerland. We also participate in the project “Development of the labour potential for Ukraine”, which is created by the Public Organization “International Foundation of Development” with the support of USAID “Economic Support of Ukraine”. Our objectives include updating educational programs in the Construction field, advanced training, retraining qualified workers, offering short-term training programs, providing partial qualifications, conducting internships with a modern material and technical base, offering educational and methodological support, utilizing e-content, and implementing innovative forms and methods for organizing the educational and production processes.
