About State Vocational and Technical Institution “Konotop Higher Vocational School”

The Konotop Higher Vocational School in Ukraine was founded in 1920 to train skilled workers for the growing industries of the time. Since then, it has expanded and improved its facilities and programmes to keep pace with changing economic needs. Today, the institution offers training in more than 10 trades. These include construction and woodworking, electrical engineering, computer skills, beauty services, welding and railway transport. The number of students is about 450. The aim of the institution is to provide students with the practical skills they need for a successful career. The Konotop Higher Vocational School will provide a significant boost to project proposals aimed at Promoting multilateral professional exchange (organising workshops, conferences or online forums to bring together experts from different institutions and countries to share their knowledge and best practices; establishing partnerships with other vocational education institutions around the world to promote student and staff mobility). Developing new research tools and methods (participating in research projects aimed at improving the effectiveness of VET). Applying new technologies to VET (developing new e-learning platforms or using virtual reality to create immersive learning experiences). Even during the war, the institution continues to operate in bomb shelters to provide vital vocational training. With solid training, motivated teachers and modern equipment, Konotop Higher Vocational School is helping to build Ukraine’s future workforce. Its graduates have the skills to support the country’s post-war reconstruction and economic recovery. The school’s motto is “Training – today! Career – tomorrow! Success – always!
