About SSO Agro Duo (from Georgian Farmers Association)

As a pioneer in the Georgian context, the sectoral skills organization Agro Duo was founded in 2019. It unites nine sector associations in the field of agriculture and food processing. Agro Duo aims to bridge the gap between vocational education and the labor market, ensuring quality vocational education and promoting human resource development in agriculture. The main goals of Agro Duo include determining the relevance of professional qualifications (work-based learning (WBL), professional training/retraining), ensuring the quality of agricultural professional education, and promoting agricultural professional education. The central tasks of the organization are as follows: ensuring the representation of the private sector, developing professional standards, educational framework documents, and modules; facilitating the implementation of WBL in agriculture and supporting quality assurance; providing educational services; supporting the internationalization of vocational education and training (VET) and promoting VET.
