About Leido

Leido is a Dutch network that focuses on all kinds of aspects related to ‘lifelong learning and development’. The focus is mainly on levels 4, 5 and 6 of the EQF. The main sectors are Vocational Professional Education (VET), Higher Professional Education (HPE) and Adult Learning.
The most important aspects are: transfer from VET to HPE, quality assurance, work-based learning (dual education), flexibility and the role of institutions, also in a regional context.
Much attention is paid to level 5, the Associate degree, as a link between VET and HE.
Leido is strongly involved in international developments and initiatives. This is done through study days, participating in networks and contributing to symposia and webinars. Leido is also partner in European projects. In addition, Leido has been the initiator for CHAIN5, the international community of practice for level 5.
