About KEK-INE-GSEE
The Labor Institute of GSEE was founded in 1990 as the scientific and research organization of the trade unions in Greece, in order for GSEE to make substantiated interventions in the social and economic level, in employment, education etc. Specifically the goal of the Human Resource Development Department is to develop and communicate know-how concerning the vocational training and LLL system, trade union and workplace learning. Its programs and actions are addressed to employed and unemployed, to socially vulnerable groups such as women, immigrants etc.
Achievements
The main achievements of AVETAE:
Fifth level education, “Assistant for children/students with special needs” qualification.
The qualification is adapted according to the self-regulatory framework of the very prestigious
English institution PEARSON. Career Orientation
Realizing the importance of career orientation for vocational school students, the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education (AVEATE) has established 6 career centers within 6 Center of Competences.
Dual learning is being piloted for the first time from this school year with 5 classes of 10th grade students, in the profiles: Hairdresser, Hospitality Assistant and Bricklayer.
Adult education
As a result of the cooperation between the AVEATE and DVV International in Kosovo, research on the provision of short-term modular courses for adult education in VET Institution was presented.
