About INCOMA

INCOMA is a non-formal training and research centre based in Seville (Spain) with extensive know-how and a proven track record in the design, development, coordination and implementation of transnational collaborative initiatives funded within the framework of EU programmes in the fields of education, training and research on social aspects. INCOMA is very active in the implementation of social innovation projects that seek to enhance the employability, socioeconomic participation and active citizenship of groups experiencing fewer opportunities, such as young people, women and citizens with a migrant background. INCOMA’s main areas of action and research encompass topics such as:

  • Pedagogical innovation (Micro-credentials, MOOCs, e-learning, etc.)
  • Promotion of Social Inclusion and equal opportunities initiatives.
  • Up-skilling and Re-skilling for professionals, newcomers to the labour market, people with special needs and groups at risk of social inclusion.
  • Key competences for personal fulfilment, active citizenship, and employability, including the acquisition and further development of an entrepreneurial mindset and entrepreneurial skills, digital skills and media literacy, and sustainability-oriented mindset and green skills.
  • Internationalisation of education & training systems, with a special focus on cooperation with non-EU Higher Education Institutions and Vocational Education and Training providers.
  • Capacity-building actions for education & training staff and for public and private social practitioners.
  • Plurilingual communication, acquisition of intercultural competences for socioeconomic participation and an active citizenship, and the promotion of EU values and Human Rights through interventions aimed at tackling fake news and hate speech.
  • Mobility for educational purposes (including the promotion of mobility among students and learners with disabilities and special needs), notably through Intermobility, which is INCOMA’s division that manages incoming and outgoing mobility initiatives.

The INCOMA group is composed of a multicultural and multidisciplinary team with relevant experience in transnational cooperation projects funded through different EU programmes (including Erasmus+, AMIF, H2020, EaSI or ENI), as well as through other international programmes (such as EEA grants and several national initiatives promoting mobility for educational purposes in EU countries).

Achievements

INCOMA holds two decades of experience as a coordinator and partner, having assumed several roles and responsibilities and acquired extensive knowledge in the implementation of research and training activities, development of training and learning materials, coordination of transversal actions (dissemination and communication, evaluation and quality assurance, and sustainability and exploitation), as well as overall project management and coordination. Furthermore, INCOMA is an active member of international networks such as the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures, EfVET, and founder member of INTERMOVE network.
