Emphasys Centre is an SME, operating as an Education, ICT Training, Research and Software Development Centre in Cyprus since 1998; approved by the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth. It is an active member of the Pact for Skills initiative of the European Commission and a member of the Large-Scale Partnerships under the Digital Sector eco-system.

Emphasys is fully equipped with high-tech equipment (STEAM Innovation Lab), conference and training facilities, professional recording studio etc. It has 4 main departments:

• Education and ICT Training Department offering validated professional development, upskilling and re-skilling courses, at the national and EU level through the Erasmus+ KA1 Learning Mobility related to the digital transformation, readiness and resilience (coding, robotics, 3D game design, VR/AR/AI-technologies, Drones, 3D-P, e-commerce, STEAM skills etc.), the promotion of green transition and social inclusion.
• Software Development Department developing custom-made digital tools, serious games using 3D, XR extended reality (VR, AR, AI) simulations, AI-powered chat bots or other tools, e-learning platforms, Mobile Apps, assessment tools etc.
• Research Department responsible for the implementation, management and coordination of research projects under various national and European programmes, such as Erasmus+ (CoVE, Capacity Building, Alliances, Blueprint etc), CERV, CREA, AMIF, etc.
• Strategic Planning Departments involved in networking at all levels, organising grassroot needs identification surveys, preparing successful EU funded research projects in the above calls, as well as, offering consultancy services.

As part of its Social Corporate Responsibility Emphasys hosts the activities of ‘THE LEARNING HUB’, a well-organised LLL programme acknowledged by the European Commission (Pact for skills and European Commission’s Representation Office in Cyprus) as a good practice. The LEARNING HUB offers free life-long opportunities for re-skilling and up-skilling to vulnerable groups of people in cooperation with CitizensACT, a grassroot level civic organisation.
