As well as that, by sharing best practices in VET with other countries, we can better respond to national and international challenges.
With the rising challenges in term of VET, the need of coordination between the various campuses within the same sector at national level emerged. Therefore, National Thematic Network gather several Hubs of Vocational Excellence of the same sector to respond to the challenges of the economic sector together and represent the French excellence of VET in a national level.
A Campus des métiers et des qualifications is created as a joint initiatIve of the president of a region, a rector of an academic region and the businesses of an economic sector. It must meet some national standards and is certified by a group of experts drawn equally from the worlds of education and business. The label Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications lasts from 1 to 5 years and must be renewed after their expiration.
It is a national initiative leaded by the French National Education Ministry in colllaboration with three other French Ministers: The Higher Education Ministry, the Labor Ministry and the Finances and Economy Ministry.
These hubs of Vocational excellence find funding through a national Call for funds “Skills and jobs of the Future” as a part of the French recovery plan.
