On July 17th, EVBB held the Innovative VET Practices Fair, showcasing various projects and their initiatives. The event attracted over 40 in-person participants and an impressive 75 online participants. Featured projects included CollaboratiVET, EndGBV in VET, TOURing, and UPsailing.
Sotiria Tsalamani presented the final results of the CollaboratiVET project, followed by a presentation from Christin Cieslak (she/her) from European Association for the Education of Adults – EAEA. She discussed “Unlocking Adult Learning: Enhancing Education Through a Collaborative Approach.” Subsequently, Alfred Pallarca presented the final results and milestones of the EndGBV in VET project, which is one of the pioneering projects focusing on addressing GBV in VET. Samir Cheriaa also presented the progress of the Up-Sailing project, discussing the outcomes of the Joint Session Training Activity held in Rome, as well as the MOOCs crafted by the consortium.
A fruitful discussion session followed, with various questions about the projects and their results. This engaging exchange of ideas underscored the participants’ keen interest and the relevance of the showcased projects.
After a coffee break, participants engaged in various parallel interactive group discussions and workshops. The first workshop was hosted by Chiara Antonelli from the European Schoolnet. Titled “Lessons Learned from EndGBV in VET Project and Other GBV Prevention Programs.” The workshop shared EndGBV results and online modules. It also highlighted the MENable project, which fights online GBV with toolkits for training and awareness programs
The second workshop, led by Sotiria Tsalamani and Maria Kazares from Bantani Education, focused on lifelong learning through collaboration. Participants used SCAFFOLD, a card deck by the European Training Foundation, to integrate key competencies in learning.
In the Pact for Skills for Tourism, the TOURing project hosted a roundtable with European civil society members. They explored synergies between innovative VET practices and inclusive tourism for disadvantaged groups, highlighting practices from various sectors and regions to indicate potential collaborations among signatories.
Two parallel workshops for online participants were hosted by Lilou Lanquetin and Elisabeth Beigl titled “Collaborative Approach to Ending GBV in Schools.
The fair concluded with an EVBBQ, celebrating the summer days in Brussels. This served as a networking session for participants to discuss best practices from their own projects and organizations. The informal setting fostered deeper connections and facilitated the exchange of innovative ideas, rounding off the day on a high note.
We want to thank everyone for coming! And see you next time!
