About KwaZulu-Natal Experimental College (KNEC) / from Humana People to People South Africa (HPP SA)

Established in 2002 by HPP South Africa, KwaZulu-Natal Experimental College (KNEC) is fully accredited with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF Level 4) and provides specialised training in ECD and Community Development. The training combines theory, practical internships, and entrepreneurship modules. Students spend extended placements in community preschools, applying inclusive pedagogy and classroom management skills in real settings. This hands-on model ensures that graduates are well prepared to address South Africa’s acute shortage of qualified ECD practitioners. KNEC collaborates closely with the Department of Basic Education, local municipalities, and community stakeholders to align with national early learning priorities.
