Project Overview
The Design Together project aims to enhance the quality and labour-market relevance of VET systems in Sub-Saharan Africa through strategic partnerships with European institutions. It focuses on the co-design and piloting of market-responsive VET curricula, strengthening institutional capacity, and promoting digitalisation, sustainability, and innovation in three target countries: Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya and Tanzania.
Through joint study visits, curriculum development workshops, and stakeholder collaboration, the project fosters cross-regional cooperation, equity, and the inclusive development of vocational education and training structures aligned with European tools like the EQF and DACUM methodology.
Purpose of the Assignment
The purpose of this assignment is to support the implementation of the Design Together project through the provision of high-quality translation services in English, French, and Portuguese. Translations will be required for project deliverables including training content, dissemination materials, and communication outputs.
Translations must ensure terminological consistency and be aligned with the specific language used in the Erasmus+ program and vocational education and training (VET) systems.
Key Tasks of the Assignment
Task 1: Document Translation
The Contractor will provide professional translation of project deliverables, including but not limited to: training curricula, case studies, presentations, policy notes, and dissemination materials. Content will be provided primarily in English and must be translated into French and Portuguese, as required.
Task 2: Terminology Accuracy and Consistency
The Contractor must ensure all translations maintain consistent VET-specific terminology and reflect the standards of Erasmus+ and European education policy communication.
Task 3: Review and Feedback Integration
The Contractor will liaise with EVBB throughout the assignment to submit translation drafts and incorporate feedback where necessary.
Expected Outputs and Timeline
The assignment covers an estimated 80 pages of translation to be delivered within five weeks.

Total Maximum Value of the Assignment
2.800 € (all taxes included)
The service is considered an EU cross-border transaction and is therefore not subject to VAT.
Eligibility Requirements
This tender is open to both freelance professionals and registered translation agencies with demonstrated experience in multilingual EU-funded projects, particularly those involving education, training, or Erasmus+.
Applicants must have proven ability to deliver professional translation services in English, French, and Portuguese.
