About CFT IDMA Instituto del Medio Ambiente

IDMA is a leading technical education institution in sustainability and environmental studies in Chile and Latin America. With over 30 years of experience, IDMA has been training professionals with an innovative vision to tackle the challenges of sustainable development. Our educational model combines practical learning, technological innovation, and a territorial approach, equipping students with green skills aligned with the ecological and energy transition. We are pioneers in developing technical programs specializing in sustainability, renewable energy, environmental management, ecological restoration, and protected area management, establishing ourselves as a reference in environmental education across the region. IDMA offers 11 technical degree programs, designed to meet the needs of the productive sector and public policies on climate change, ecosystem conservation, and the circular economy. One of our key differentiators is our strong collaboration with both the public and private sectors, allowing us to continuously update our curricula in response to labor market demands and emerging environmental challenges. This strategic relationship has led to the development of high-impact territorial projects, where our students actively participate in real-world solutions that benefit communities and industries alike. Additionally, IDMA has gained international recognition through its participation in WorldSkills International, where our students have demonstrated their excellence in technical and sustainable skills, positioning themselves competitively in a global job market. Our institution is a woman-led project, with a strong gender perspective that promotes equity in technical education. We are committed to inclusion and equal access to training and employment opportunities, ensuring that all our students become key agents of change in building a more sustainable future. At IDMA, we provide real-world learning environments through our specialized Learning Centers, fostering hands-on experience, community engagement, and a strong connection with nature. These include: The Technological Center for Sustainability, where students engage in real-world projects, collaborating with businesses, municipalities, and community organizations to generate territorial impact and develop innovative solutions to environmental and productive challenges. The Eco House and the Center for Sustainable Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a hub for circular economy projects, environmental innovation, and sustainable business ventures. The Center for Ecotourism and Conservation, offering immersive learning experiences in protected area management, sustainable tourism, and ecological restoration, integrating environmental education with conservation efforts. Through our training programs, we drive innovation, sustainability, and technical leadership, preparing a new generation of professionals with environmental awareness, critical thinking, and applied skills to lead the transition towards a more sustainable and resilient world.

Our B2P business unit stands for empowerment through education. To achieve this goal, we rely on national and international collaboration and partnerships and implement EU-founded projects, that focus on innovation, skill development and the creation of cutting-edge educational resources. Adittionally, we provide complete training packages and job coaching to equip jobseekers with both technical and interpersonal skills, allowing them to re-establish their careers, in close collaboration with Germany’s employment agencies.

Our B2B business unit is dedicated to providing upskilling opportunities for IT staff across some of Germany’s most well-known enterprises, as well as delivering numerous cooperative and upskilling projects for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).

In terms of digital proficiency, brainymotion can be a reliable and beneficial partner for providing IT training programs in various domains, including Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, and Data Science. Furthermore, our portfolio encompasses project management and entrepreneurship trainings, as well as job orientation and re-orientation consultations.
