Lisbon 2010 – Combat against Poverty by Vocational Training
On 30 September and 1 October 2010 this year’s EVBB annual conference took place in Lisbon and had the topic “Combat against Poverty by Vocational Training”. In the Lisboan Cultural Center Belem, almost 100 experts of vocational training, education legislators and representatives of European institutions had some rounds of debates on major issues of European vocational education and training in the two days of the conference. “They tried to think in a broader perspective outside of Europe”. These were the words of EVBB president Kuhn in his speech.
Istanbul 2011 – Labour Market, Economy and Vocational Training
“Labour Market, Economy and Vocational Training between European and International Developments and Demands” The15th International Annual Conference, 29th to 1st October 2011 has been carried out at the Cinar Hotel in Istanbul. More than 140 participants from Europe and Asian countries have discussed developments in the European education policy, taking into account the strategic objectives and tasks of the communiqué of Bruges releases.
Frankfurt/Main 2012 – Social Cohesion
The 16.th international anual conference of EVBB will take place from 04. – 05. October 2012, in the historic Auditorium of the Goethe-University in Frankfurt/Main Lecture Theatre, Mertonstraße 17-21, 60325 Frankfurt in Germany.
Athens 2013 – For Youth Employment in Europe

Zagreb 2014 – Work-based training for employment and growth
From 15th to 18th October, this year's annual meeting of the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training was dedicated with the task of giving new impetus to vocational education and training in the light of the current economic situation in Europe.
Brussels 2015 – Training and Skills for Employment and Development
The topic of "Training and Skills for Employment and Development" was the focus of the meeting of the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB), from 21st to October 24th, 2015 that took place in the premises of the Representation of the State of Hesse to the EU in Brussels as well as in the hotel Thon EU in the Belgian capital Brussels.
Brussels 2016 – New global challenges for VET in a more inclusive Europe
The European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB) together with its partner organization European Vocational Training Association (EVTA) organised their annual conference 2016 in Brussels. Both European organizations are part of the expert group of GD Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion and are thus well-established and committed partners as European networks defending the interests of European VET providers.
Malta 2017 – Vocational Training in the Context of an Inclusive Society
The European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB) will organize this year’s annual conference in Malta and will once again put an emphasis on the issues of crucial importance for politicians, VET providers and the labour market. We want to showcase the best examples of VET, particularly with respect to the integration of migrants and refugees and discuss the challenges that need to be tackled by the parties involved – companies, VET providers and the politicians.
