Brussels 2016 – International Annual Conference

The European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB) together with its partner organization European Vocational Training Association (EVTA) will organised their annual conference 2016 in Brussels. Both European organizations are part of the expert group of GD Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion and are thus well-established and committed partners as European networks defending the interests of European VET providers.

The EVBB has grown and is now also working from Brussels where it had set up its Secretary General’s office January 2016. This new structure helps the organization to be more visible and to be closer to the EU authorities and institutions. Together with EVTA, the EVBB strives for a better reputation of VET in Europe and promotes VET policy as an essential tool for a sustainable economic development in Europe. Quality in VET, a better permeability between the education systems and innovative action for socially marginalized people are the topics embedded in our long-term strategies. EVBB and EVTA represent more than 70 VET and education actors including the biggest ones from Germany, France and Italy. They have managed to build excellent relations with the Commission and its agencies such as the CEDEFOP or the ETF.

EVBB and EVTA organised their 2016 annual conference at the Representation of the State of Hessen to the EU where they expected about 160 participants from all over Europe and even beyond.
